The strongest reason to choose John Carroll is because there's a faculty just waiting for you. The relationships that we have with our students really go deep. We do think about all their experiences in their lives and how we're forming them and how we're helping them to become something that they're called to be.
Boler's a special place, because there's such a hands on focus from the faculty.
You're really able to become close with your professors and your peers, and have those intimate discussions and conversations.
I would see some of my friends at big schools, and they'd be in a class one of their major classes, and there'd be 100-150 people. And I would ask them, Do you have a relationship with your professor? and none of them really did. And then I'd come here and I have classes where I have 20 to 25 people. I know the professors really well.
At Boler, we have faculty scholars who are really active in their research, and also the really invest in their professional development. You know, all of those can be shared with students.
The huge thing you leave college with is your growth as a person and your network that you develop while you're here. But then also the growth that takes place while you're here and kind of learning. How do you interact with people? How do you present yourself on paper? How do you present yourself in person? How do you present yourself online? John Carroll takes care to look at all of those things, to make sure that once students kind of take that step out of here, they're well polished kind of across the board.
John Carroll has an incredible reputation outside of the university. Employers understand that these Boler students are exceptional.
The basis of a liberal arts education is to help you learn critical thinking.
Once you get into the business world, people can tell if you're someone that only cares about results in the bottom line, or if you're someone that actually cares about the bigger picture. And I think people respect and appreciate people that have a broader view of what's important in life.
I think Boler has given me the opportunity to really grow as a leader. They really want you to pursue what makes you unique.
The ability to be able to do a lot of things was actually probably the primary reason that I came to John Carroll. I'm a member of the leadership Scholars Program. I'm also a member of the finance Club, which coincided with us going to Chicago meeting with all kinds of employers. There was a big networking event with John Carroll alums. I don't think there's been one specific moment but I think it's been moments group together. That kind of really leave an impact in my mind. I'd say.
I would say a to prospective student that you are making a important decision to college.
Boler college, I think it's a big family. I don't think you will regret to come to John Carroll because you are joining John Carroll community, you are part of this big family.
