Living on campus at John Carroll is a very beneficial experience. I think it's a great way to meet friends and new people and really immerse yourself in the John Carroll community. Every friend that I made. I'm still friends with today. It was a great experience to be able to get to know people and meet people.
Students are required two years if they're a non-commuting student. First time you step foot on campus really beneficial to establish friendships and connections.
Two of my housemates now, one of them lived right across the hall from me freshman year and then one lived about four doors down from me, and I met him during orientation. I think those first two years living on campus are super beneficial.
Your first year and your second year, you'll live in a residence hall with you and another roommate. You will share communal restroom with the entire floor. As an upperclassmen, as a junior senior, you can either choose to live on campus again. You can either live in a single, so in a room just by yourself, in a double which is the room with you and one other roommate, or in a triple, so you and two other roommates.
Pretty much everyone on my floor kept their doors open. People were always flowing in between, you know, asking each other for homework help or just to hang out, play video games, just socialize. So very easy to make friends on campus.
